LOVE STORY OF Mary & Tim
Lisnavagh House wedding
The moment I met Tim with his huge smile and warm personality I knew we’d have a future together!
HOW DID THE PROPOSAL GO?
We went to Bruges around Christmas time. It was cosy and romantic. Tim took me by surprise with the engagement and proposed in a beautiful church in front of a Michelangelo statue of Our Lady. I was overwhelmed and of course said yes!
HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR VENUE?
A friend suggested Lisnavagh House and once we went to see, we fell in love with it immediately! It was important to us that we had the whole venue to ourselves and our families for the weekend. It’s a very serene, unique and beautiful venue. We wanted a relaxed and welcoming weekend for everyone including ourselves
FAVOURITE MOMENT ?
We would both say that our favourite moment was the moment I walked up the aisle to join Tim on the altar to say our vows to one another and become man and wife!
ANY ADVICE TO BRIDES AND GROOMS TO BE?
Truly, enjoy EVERY minute of the day, from sunrise to long after sunset!

The I Do’s
The yew walk
This is a ceremony space with a magical tree tunnel that has been designed from 160-year-old yew trees. Nothing is more magical than realizing that you are hosting your wedding under a canopy of beautiful trees, amidst the fresh country air and bird songs. This yew walk accommodates up to 170 guests and has an altar that can be styled according to your needs.
The brick barn
Built with red bricks which were made on Lisnavagh estate more than 160 years, and a dash of contemporary ingenuity, this brick barn serves as a charismatic location for exchanging vows. The lights that flood into its circular structure, between the conical roof and 12ft. high walls will leave you mesmerized.
After the “I Do’s”
Having drinks at the lawn
After the wedding ceremony, the drinks and canapés may be served on the beautiful lawn. In case the weather isn’t favorable, both the Schoolroom and Library in Lisnavagh can act as perfect alternative venues for the drinks reception.
Garden Wing dinner
With the capability to hold approximately 170 guests, this Garden Wing exudes tradition and grandeur. Its breathtaking in both splendor and size and has a 20 ft. high ceiling and a carefully crafted root made using timber that was grown on this historic estate. The space is just spectacular.
Dancing
Since a wedding will be incomplete without a dance session, Lisnavagh provides a dance floor in the Garden Wing just next to the adjoining Beaters Bar. This dance floor will take you back in time with its rustic flagstone floor and the stylish snack by the fire.
