Dave and Margaret Wedding – A grand occasion that signified the beauty of true love
Weddings are easily one of the most memorable moments in someone’s life. Finding your soulmate and marrying them is something that everyone dreams of but Dave and Margaret actually managed to do that.
Dave, from Ayr and Margaret from Galway, Scotland recently tied the knot and it was a moment to rejoice. The two of them met almost ten years ago on a Halloween night in Glasgow with Dave dressing up as a Gorilla while Margaret came as a clown. They started going on dates regularly and fast forward ten years later and Dave was going down on one knee under the lights of Albert Bridge, London and proposing Margaret.
Wedding Ceremony: All about the grand occasion
The wedding ceremony was held in Saint Bridget’s Church in Ballinafad, Connemara, Co. Galway while the reception took place in Rosleague Manor, Letterfrack, Connemara, Co. Galway. Both of the events were organized in a grand fashion and every minute detail was carefully ironed out. The wedding dresses and kilts were from The Bridal Box, Oxford and MacGregor and MacDuff, Glasgow respectively while the shoes were from Dune. The accessories were provided courtesy of OrJewellery, Glasgow.
It was a beautifully organized event as AnthesisFloral, Galway took special care of providing beautiful flowers and Sinead Burke, DeBurcakes, Galway providing a delicious cake that everyone attending the ceremony loved. The Makeup duties were given to Aisling K Make Up, Galway and the hair department was taken care of by Collette Costello Bridal Hair, Oughterard, Co. Galway. Payne & Son, Oxford were tasked with providing gorgeous wedding rings and music was chosen to be Kane Sisters, Letterfrack, Co. Galway and the DJ/Band selected was Off The Wall, Dublin.
Dave and Margaret: A beautiful wedding to remember
The wedding was fun and the whole place was full of positive vibes of a joyous occasion. I was chosen to be the preferred photographer and it was an amazing occasion to be involved in as I managed to take some really amazing shots. The sheer magnitude of the event was massive as the bride and bridegroom both wanted their wedding to be a big party with their family and close friends nearby to make sure the event takes place without any fuss.
The chosen venue for the event was as amazing as the wedding. They chose a beautiful location which had amazing views of Connemara while also giving a relaxed country house feel.
What does the future hold for the couple?
The couple is very happy to be finally married after knowing each other for almost 10 years. Once their wedding got over, they decided that will take some time to adjust their schedule ahead of their planned honeymoon trip to Japan in a couple of months.
One of the common questions the couple was asked throughout the day was ‘what would they advise a couple that was planning their wedding day?’ And to this, they had a simple answer that a wedding shouldn’t be stressed over. You should enjoy the planning and preparation and make sure you are up for the day when it comes.
